The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve in Costa Rica is known worldwide for its breathtaking biodiversity and the mystical atmosphere created by the dense fog. Its geographical, topographical and climatic conditions favor an enormous variety of flora and fauna. Visitors can observe over 400 bird species, including the rare quetzal, as well as countless species of mammals, reptiles and amphibians.
