Los Campesinos Ecolodge was created by the union of a community dedicated to sustainable and environmentally friendly tourism and has more than 20 years of experience. On 35 hectares (86 acres) of land you can experience thundering waterfalls, spectacular suspension bridges, natural pools and what feels like endless rainforest. Immerse yourself in village life and tasty food.
Welcome to Los Campesinos! You will be warmly welcomed and can - if the check-in time allows it - move into your cozy room. After a short briefing you can explore the surroundings on your own. An approx. 2km long hiking trail leads over two suspension bridges and past thundering waterfalls. You will also reach some natural pools where you can refresh yourself. In the evening, a delicious homemade meal awaits you before you fall tired but happy into bed.
After a delicious breakfast we will explore the surroundings today on a leisurely horseback ride. The tour takes place in an international group and with a guide. We will get to know the village community of Quebrada Arroyo, enjoy magnificent views from various vantage points and finally reach the Rio Savegre, one of the cleanest rivers in Central America.
After a fortifying lunch, we will then start for a hike. Again, we will be accompanied by a guide and possibly other guests of the lodge. The guide will explain us a lot about the surrounding flora and maybe we will see some animals. Then we will go in a small steel cable gondola up to the last mountain, from where we can enjoy wonderful views of the Pacific Ocean.
A delicious dinner will round off this adventurous day, which we will surely remember for a long time.
Everything has to come to an end. Once again we enjoy a delicious breakfast with a view of the mountains. Then it's time to say goodbye to our beloved lodge. With many great impressions and possibly new acquaintances we start into the next adventure.
