Monteverde is a mystical cloud forest with ferns, bromeliads and mosses that grow on the trees absorbing water and releasing it as soon as the rain subsides.
Be enchanted in the forest as you walk over bridges, watch giant butterflies and enjoy delicious local coffee.
Today you will arrive in Monteverde either by rental car, bus or shuttle. Optionally, we can also take care of your arrival! You can check in from about 2 pm and make yourself really comfortable. Don't forget your long pants and a sweater for the night, because in the mountains it can cool down at night. Explore the small path through the nature or have dinner in the Treehouse restaurant in the center (not included).
Are you more of an early riser or late riser? Depending on that, we can set your time for the tour today. A shuttle will pick you up at your accommodation about half an hour before the start. On your own you will go to the Monteverde suspension bridges. These are sturdily built and vary in length. About three kilometers of path connect the constructions of 50 to 170m length. Here you will experience a completely new view of the cloud forest, which you have observed so far mainly from below. Especially on morning tours you can be very lucky to spot a Quetzal. We continue to the butterfly garden with more than 20 different species in different life cycles. Especially impressive for us is the Blue Morpho, not only because of its iridescent blue, but also because we don't know such big butterflies from Europe. Truly impressive, isn't it?
Transfer included, suspension bridges without guide
