Relax Rainforest Package

Around noon you will arrive independently at la Tigra Rainforest Lodge and enjoy your traditional lunch. For an extra charge we will of course take care of your transfer to the lodge if you are not traveling in a rental car. With a four-wheel drive vehicle the last 2km of gravel road are more relaxed, but it is not a requirement. You might just need a little more patience. Almost 20 years ago the first trees were replanted here and La Tigra Lodge welcomes guests since 2014. There is nothing left of the former cow pasture on the lodge property. After check in, you can relax in the pool or your private hammock with the best rainforest view. In the late afternoon you can enjoy a coffee and around 7 pm the tasty dinner. Afterwards, at about 8 pm, you will continue with the small night hike. Around the restaurant you can hear the frogs singing and surely you can see poison dart frogs, red-eyed tree frogs and toads tonight!

You start the day at the restaurant with a hearty breakfast, like the local farmers. There is rice with beans, egg, a delicious coffee, juice and some fruit. After the refreshment you will learn more about the lodge, the project, the history and also the vision for the future from one of the staff members, before you go on foot in about 30-45 minutes and past various educational panels into the new reforestation area. Now you make your contribution to the reforestation with your own local tree including a certificate with the coordinates of the tree. This way you will be able to find it on your next visit even years later.
After lunch you will be transferred to the nearby Termales del Valle. Here you can relax in the cool to lukewarm, mineral-rich water - away from the main tourist trails! Later, the transfer will take you back to the lodge, where the delicious dinner will be the crowning finale of the day. If you like, you can now also go on your own in search of various frogs.

Once again the birds wake you up in the morning while you feel the clean rainforest air. Just listen for a while while it gets lighter and lighter outside. Enjoy your campesino breakfast before you check out in the late afternoon and continue your journey. Optionally we will take care of your transfer or let us inspire you with our other packages.
