Overview of the Arenal Hanging Bridges Tour

The Arenal Hanging Bridges Tour is a popular activity in Costa Rica that takes you on a 1.9 mi hike through the rainforest, where you'll cross a series of 16 suspension bridges that range from 16 to 328 ft in length. Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to spot a variety of plant and animal species, including howler monkeys, sloths, toucans, and more.

This tour is suitable for almost all ages (5+) and and it's a great way to experience the natural beauty of Costa Rica. It's also a perfect activity for those who love nature and want to learn more about the flora and fauna of this region.

What to Expect on the Arenal Hanging Bridges Tour

As you begin your journey, your guide will provide you with a brief introduction to the tour and the rainforest environment. You'll then start your hike, and your guide will point out the various plant and animal species you encounter along the way.

The suspension bridges are a highlight of the tour offering breathtaking views of the rainforest canopy and Arenal Volcano in the distance. The bridges are sturdy and safe, and they provide a unique perspective of the rainforest that you won't find anywhere else.

Throughout the tour, your guide will provide you with interesting facts and information about the different species of plants and animals you encounter. You'll learn about the different layers of the rainforest and how they interact with each other, as well as the unique adaptations that allow plants and animals to thrive in this environment.

At the end of the tour, we will enjoy a delicious snack of tropical fruits with a view of the Arenal Volcano before returning to your hotel in La Fortuna.

• - Moderate hike, not recommended for persons with pronunced fear of heights
• - Due to the uneven terrain, this tour is not suitable for guests with walking disabilities or other motor impairments.
• - The tour is bilingual in English and Spanish
• - Transportation from most hotels is included in the price. If your hotel is far from downtown La Fortuna or the road to the Arenal Volcano, additional pick-up costs may apply. Please inquire at the time of booking.
• - The departure times are approximate and we will send you the exact pickup time.

Policies:

• - Cancellations or changes to the booking are possible until 24 hours before departure. After that, the full booking price will be charged in any case.
• - If a participant does not appear at the agreed time at the agreed place, we can wait a maximum of 5 minutes. In case of non-appearance, the full booking price will be charged.
