Dolphin & Whale Watching Tour

Sámara bay is known for its biodiversity. One of the most beautiful activities in the region is therefore this catamaran tour, which combines dolphin watching (and depending on the season whale watching) with a snorkeling stop.

You will be picked up from your hotel in Sámara or Puerto Carrillo at around 8:15 am. Then you hop aboard the catamaran to start the tour. Your trained guide knows the best places to spot dolphins or whales. The clear waters are home to bottlenose dolphins and spotted dolphins and also serve as a migration route for humpback whales. Whale watching is best between August and November and in early January. Dolphins can be found almost all year round.

After the observation, you can explore the diverse underwater world on your own with snorkeling gear. You will also be provided with water, juice and fresh fruit during the tour.

After this unique experience, we will take you to your hotel where you can relax for the rest of the day.

Important: There is a minimum of 4 participants for this tour. If you are traveling alone or with fewer people, we have to check availability first on the desired date. Please contact us by e-mail or chat and let us know the desired tour date and the number of people. We will then let you know immediately whether the tour is possible on the desired date or no.

Notes:

• - Price is per person
• - 13% sales tax will be added upon booking
• - Minimum number of participants: 4 adults (if you book for less participants we have to check with the provider if there are other bookings for the tour)
• - Children must be accompanied by an adult.
• - Child rate ($42) is for children 5-12 years old
• - The tour is bilingual in English and Spanish
• - Pick-up is available in the near area of Samara & Carrillo. Nosara extra $30 per person.
• - The departure times are approximate and we will send you the exact pickup time.
• - If the tour has to be canceled due to bad weather, another day can be arranged or a full refund of the tour price can be made.
• - Please be aware that whale sightings are seasonal (August-November and beginning of January). Dolphins can be spotted all year round. As this is a wildlife tour, sightings of dolphins and whales can never be guaranteed.

Policies:

• - Cancellations or changes to the booking are possible until 72 hours before departure. After that, the full booking price will be charged in any case.
• - If a participant does not appear at the agreed time at the agreed place, we can wait a maximum of 5 minutes. In case of non-appearance, the full booking price will be charged.
