For a relaxed and comfortable journey, your shuttle from San José to La Fortuna takes you straight to your next destination. You'll be picked up either at your hotel in the capital or directly at the airport in Alajuela, and taken safely to your next accommodation in La Fortuna – the gateway to Arenal Volcano and its species-rich surroundings of rainforest, hot springs, and rivers.
The route winds through Costa Rica's highlands, offering views of coffee plantations, pastures, and dense vegetation along the way. To help you comfortably cover the roughly three-and-a-half to four-hour journey, a break of about 20 minutes is included, giving you the chance to stretch your legs, grab a refreshment, or use the restroom.
The transfer runs directly from door to door, or from the airport to your hotel. This way, you'll arrive in La Fortuna relaxed and well prepared, ready to dive straight into your Costa Rica adventure.

Airport pickup is scheduled for approximately 7:45 AM or 2:15 PM. In the event of a flight delay, the shuttle can wait for a maximum of 10 minutes – so please plan enough buffer time for your transfer.
