Your shuttle from San José to Puerto Viejo takes you comfortably to Costa Rica's southern Caribbean coast. You'll be picked up either at your hotel in the capital or directly at the airport, and taken safely – in around five and a half hours – to your accommodation in Puerto Viejo, Playa Cocles, Punta Uva, or Manzanillo, a region known for its blend of Caribbean flair, palm-lined beaches, and dense coastal rainforest.
The journey takes you through changing landscapes, from the central highlands down to the tropical lowlands of the Caribbean coast. To help you cover the route comfortably, a break of about 20 minutes is included along the way, giving you the chance to stretch your legs, grab a refreshment, or use the restroom.
The transfer runs directly from door to door, or from the airport to your hotel, so you arrive at your destination without detours and can dive straight into your time on the Caribbean coast.

Airport pickup is scheduled for approximately 7 AM or 1 PM. In the event of a flight delay, the shuttle can wait for a maximum of 10 minutes – so please plan enough buffer time for your transfer.
