Description

You will be picked up at your hotel in Tamarindo and taken to Liberia in approx. 2 hours. Here you can use the restrooms before continuing on to the Nicaraguan border in just over an hour.

A tour guide will assist you with the border crossing (please also note our information below).

Once the paperwork is done, you will take another shuttle from the border to your hotel in San Juan del Sur (travel time approx. 1 hour), where you should be arriving between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m.

Notes:

- Price is per person
- Sales tax of 13% will be added upon booking
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- Child rate ($33) is for children 3-10 years old
- If a child seat is required, please request at time of reservation. It will then be provided free of charge (if available).
- The shuttle takes you from door to door. If your hotel is far from the center of town, additional pick-up costs may apply. Please inquire at the time of booking.
- A tax of $9 is charged when leaving Costa Rica and $13 when entering Nicaragua. These fees are not included in the ticket price, but are paid at the border.
- Please inform yourself in advance about the current entry regulations and have all the necessary documents ready to ensure a smooth process at the border.
- In any case, you will need a passport that is valid for at least 6 months upon entry. If you have been in a designated yellow fever area before entering Nicaragua, you will need proof of vaccination.
- Please note that binoculars, drones, and anything that could be considered a weapon may not be brought into the country.
- You are allowed one piece of luggage and one carry-on. There is a $15 charge for each additional piece of luggage.
- Surfboards will be transported for a fee of $22 if they are not longer than 6,5 feet.

Policies:

- Ticket changes and cancellations are free of charge up to 72 hours before departure. After that, only on request.
- Departure times are approximate and may vary by 15 minutes in either direction. Please arrive at the assigned pick-up point 15 minutes before the assigned pick-up time. The shuttle will wait for you for a maximum of 5 minutes. If you do not arrive at the pick-up point on time and the shuttle leaves without you, there will be NO refund.
- If a passenger encounters unusual problems and delays at immigration, the shuttle cannot wait. There is also no refund in this case. Please make sure you have all the necessary documents to hand. We also recommend that you have a small cash reserve with you.
- Neither Costa Rica Insider/Ecoterra nor the shuttle provider are liable for the loss or damage of luggage.
