This truly special transfer combines two forms of travel, ensuring not only a smooth journey but also a wonderful experience along the way. You'll enjoy a scenic boat ride through Tortuguero's fascinating waterways, followed by a comfortable minibus ride to your next destination: La Fortuna, at the foot of the impressive Arenal Volcano.
The motorboat departs from the central dock in Tortuguero at 10:20 AM. Guests staying at hotels located further away with their own private dock can also be picked up. First, the journey takes you through Tortuguero's idyllic waterways for approximately one hour – and with a bit of luck, you might even spot some wildlife along the way.
Upon arrival at La Pavona dock, you’ll transfer to a comfortable minibus for the next part of your journey. The drive to Siquirres takes around one hour and 20 minutes and passes numerous banana plantations along the way. There will be a short stop in Siquirres, where you'll have the opportunity to purchase lunch (USD 12; vegetarian options are available).
Afterwards, you’ll begin the final leg of your journey. In approximately two and a half hours, you'll reach La Fortuna at the foot of the Arenal Volcano. With a little luck, you'll catch your first glimpses of this impressive volcano as you approach. You'll be dropped off directly at your hotel – your gateway to unforgettable volcano adventures.
